Free Intergenerational Music Classes in Scarborough
Intergenerational Music Classes 2025 dates!
Families with children of ALL AGES are welcome to join these super fun and FREE music classes at the Maine Veterans' Homes in Scarborough we meet at 10am on Fridays. We provide instruments and kids and caregivers sing along, dance, and play with the wonderful residents at MVH! Uke and Me *Fall dates TBA*
Music lessons for kids ages 3-8 with parent/caregiver. Focus on Ukuleles and Drums. Previous family music class preferred but not mandatory. Play music together and strengthen your bond with your "big kid" Instruments provided for in class use. *space will be limited*
Student Ensembles *Fall dates TBA*
Ages 8-18 all levels welcome to join this ensemble style music group! Learn with Rob Duquette, M.A. creator and author of the ©Hand Harmonies music education program. Students will make music together on drums/ guitars/ ukes/ percussion. Students learn how to listen and play together as well. 45mins/week for 6 week sessions with potential student showcase concert opportunities

How to use music as a tool for learning and connection!
Professional Development workshop on how to use music with kids (even if you think you are not musical yourself). This workshop will be held in Biddeford and will be an opportunity to learn how to play the ukulele, and hand drums and more. We will be teaching you some of our tricks, sharing songs, stories, tips, and activities that you can very easily implement with your kids.
